Synaptril is a dietary supplement in vegetable capsules, taken one a day, 30 to a bottle. Each capsule lists 80 mg of magnesium from magnesium glycinate inside a 575 mg blend that also holds alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom, L-carnitine, turmeric and CoQ10. The label says 'Advanced Brain Support*'. No study has tested the capsule itself, so we line up each claim with the research.

The basics01
Synaptril is a once-a-day dietary supplement capsule sold for brain support. A bottle holds 30 vegetable capsules, so one bottle is one month.
The label lists seven lines. One is magnesium, at 80 mg per capsule, which is 19% of the Daily Value (NIH ODS, Magnesium). The other six sit in a 575 mg proprietary blend: magnesium glycinate, alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom root extract, L-carnitine, turmeric extract and coenzyme Q10.
The front of the bottle makes three claims, each with the FDA asterisk: "Advanced Brain Support*", "Enhances Memory & Focus*" and "Boosts Mental Energy*". These are structure/function claims. The FDA does not review them before a product is sold (FDA, Dietary supplements Q and A).
No caffeine or other stimulant is listed. The label names Gluco Elixir of Aurora, Colorado, as the distributor. It does not name a manufacturer.

Claims vs evidence02
Nobody knows yet, because no trial has tested Synaptril. The evidence that exists is for single ingredients, mostly at much higher doses than a 575 mg blend can hold.
NCCIH, part of the NIH, finds no dietary supplement proven to prevent or slow memory decline (NCCIH, Supplements and cognition). An expert panel convened by AARP reached the same view and advised people to spend their money on proven habits instead (AARP GCBH, Brain health supplements).
That does not make the bottle's wording illegal. It means the claims are marketing, not test results. Each one is lined up below with what research shows.
Claims as printed on the label, the brand badges and the sales page (Synaptril sales page). Health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence, generally human trials of the same product (FTC, Health Products Compliance).
Do not stop or change any medicine because you started a supplement. If memory changes are new or getting worse, see a doctor first: thyroid problems, low vitamin B12, depression, alcohol and some medicines can all affect memory, and many are treatable (MedlinePlus, Memory loss).
The full ingredient-by-ingredient case is on the claims vs evidence page.
How you take it03
Take one capsule a day with water. That is the whole instruction on the label.
The label gives no time of day and no rule about food. Tying it to a meal you never skip, such as breakfast, makes it easy to remember. Never take more than one capsule a day: the label says "Do not exceed recommended dose."
On a new bottle, make sure the safety seal is in place. If that seal is damaged or missing, the label says not to use it.
Swallow one capsule with a glass of water. The label says one capsule daily, never more.
The label names no time. A meal suits it: CoQ10 and curcumin are fat-soluble. Keep prescribed medicine on its own schedule.
Note what you notice. The money-back window runs 60 days, so decide before it closes.
Store the bottle in a cool, dry place below 30°C (86°F), as the label asks. More detail, including missed days and travel, sits on the how to take it page.
Ingredients04
Synaptril's ingredients are magnesium glycinate, alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom root extract, L-carnitine, turmeric extract (95% curcuminoids) and coenzyme Q10.
They are listed in a 575 mg proprietary blend, from most to least by weight. A blend only has to show its total weight and its order, not the amount of each ingredient (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36). Magnesium appears twice: once as 80 mg of the mineral, and once as magnesium glycinate, the form that supplies it.
The capsule shell is made of hypromellose, a plant-based material. Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid and silicon dioxide help the powder flow and fill evenly.
From the Supplement Facts panel on the label. Places 1-6 are the blend, listed from most to least by weight (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36). The other ingredients (the vegetable capsule, cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, silicon dioxide) are left out of this count.

Dose vs research06
Only the magnesium is printed: 80 mg. The other amounts are hidden, but simple arithmetic on the label shows they must be small.
Pure magnesium glycinate is about 14% magnesium by weight, so 80 mg of magnesium takes about 570 mg of it (Magnesium glycinate, Mg content). Even a generous buffered grade would weigh 400 mg. That leaves somewhere between about 8 and 175 mg for the other five ingredients together.
Studies of those ingredients used far more: 600 mg a day of alpha lipoic acid (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic acid), 1,500 to 3,000 mg of acetyl-L-carnitine (NIH ODS, Carnitine) and 180 mg of a high-absorption curcumin (Small 2018, Curcumin memory RCT). Switch the assumption below to see the room change.
400 mgmagnesium glycinate, to supply the 80 mg of magnesium printed on the label
175 mgleft for alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom, L-carnitine, turmeric and CoQ10 together
The capsule's blend weighs 575 mg. Pure magnesium glycinate is about 14% magnesium by weight; buffered versions mixed with magnesium oxide carry more (Magnesium glycinate, Mg content). The 20% case is a generous assumption, not a published figure. The label does not say which form is used, so this is arithmetic on the label, not a lab result.
Read the full table, with every source, on the ingredients page.
Label claims07
The three claims are "Advanced Brain Support*", "Enhances Memory & Focus*" and "Boosts Mental Energy*". Each is a broad description, not a measured result.
The asterisk sends you to the FDA statement: the claims have not been evaluated, and the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The sales page adds no health claims of its own (Synaptril sales page).
The bottle says“Advanced Brain Support*”
What the evidence saysToo broad to test. What has evidence for brain health is not in a bottle: blood pressure control, hearing care, activity, sleep and social contact. (Lancet Commission 2024, Dementia) (AARP GCBH, Brain health supplements)
The bottle says“Enhances Memory & Focus*”
What the evidence saysAcetyl-L-carnitine and curcumin had small or mixed results at doses many times what this blend can hold. Alpha lipoic acid has no controlled memory trials. (Cochrane, Acetyl-L-carnitine dementia) (Small 2018, Curcumin memory RCT) (Cochrane, Alpha-lipoic acid dementia)
The bottle says“Boosts Mental Energy*”
What the evidence saysCoQ10 and carnitine take part in energy production inside cells. Studies in healthy adults do not show a felt lift in mental energy. (NCCIH, Coenzyme Q10) (Nankivell 2025, CoQ10 and cognition) (NIH ODS, Carnitine)
Claims as worded on the front of the bottle, each with the FDA asterisk. The sales page adds no claims of its own (Synaptril sales page).
Safety08
Anyone on a blood thinner, insulin or another diabetes medicine should ask first. The label also rules out people under 18 and pregnant or nursing mothers.
CoQ10 may counteract warfarin (MSKCC, Coenzyme Q10). Alpha lipoic acid may lower blood sugar (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic acid). Magnesium can stop some antibiotics and osteoporosis drugs from being absorbed if taken at the same time (NIH ODS, Magnesium). MSKCC advises people with diabetes against butcher's broom (MSKCC, Butcher's broom). Answer five questions to see where you stand.
Magnesium in larger amounts can loosen stools (NIH ODS, Magnesium). Turmeric is now the most common cause of herbal liver injury in the U.S., though it is rare, about 1 in 10,000 to 100,000 users (LiverTox, Turmeric). More on side effects and supplements and medicines.
What works09
Everyday health habits have the strongest evidence. The 2024 Lancet Commission names 14 changeable risk factors for dementia, and none of them is a supplement.
Treating hearing loss, keeping blood pressure and LDL cholesterol in range, staying active, not smoking and staying social all count (Lancet Commission 2024, Dementia). Adults should aim for 150 minutes of moderate activity a week (HHS, Physical Activity Guidelines) and at least seven hours of sleep a night (CDC, About Sleep).
The 2024 Lancet Commission lists 14 factors and estimates that close to half of dementia cases might be prevented or delayed by addressing them (Lancet Commission 2024, Dementia). No supplement is on the list.

Verdict10
Synaptril is easy to take and fully labeled, but its blend is small and its claims are untested.
Our view: a mild, well-tolerated daily capsule built mostly on magnesium. Treat it as a supplement, never as care for memory problems.
Prices11
Synaptril costs $178 for two bottles plus shipping, $216 for three and $294 for six, with free shipping on the bigger packs.
That works out to $89, $72 or $49 a bottle. Because each bottle lasts 30 days, the daily cost runs from about $2.97 down to about $1.63. No single-bottle option is offered on the sales page (Synaptril sales page).

Badges14
The badges are the brand's own claims. None of them names a certifier, a lab, a facility or a formulator.
"Registered FDA facility" is worth a second look. FDA registration means a facility is on a list; it is not an approval or an inspection result (FDA, Dietary supplements Q and A). Getsynaptril is a stocked U.S. Synaptril counter, not the maker, and earns money from our order links. Lot code S-26/GE-6580 is a seller reference, not lab proof.

FAQ15
No question matches. Try another word.
Synaptril is sold as a daily brain support supplement. The bottle says 'Advanced Brain Support*', 'Enhances Memory & Focus*' and 'Boosts Mental Energy*'. It is not a treatment for memory loss, and no trial has tested it.
A capsule. Each bottle holds 30 vegetable capsules made from hypromellose, and the label says to take one a day. It is not sold as drops, gummies or a powder.
Thirty, which is 30 servings of one capsule. At the label's one capsule a day, a bottle lasts one month, a 3-bottle pack lasts 90 days and a 6-bottle pack lasts 180 days.
This is Synaptril's official product-information website, run by Getsynaptril, a stocked U.S. Synaptril counter. We are not the manufacturer or the distributor. Order buttons go to the Synaptril checkout on the sales page.
No caffeine is listed. The label shows magnesium glycinate, alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom, L-carnitine, turmeric and CoQ10, plus capsule and filler ingredients. None of them is a stimulant.
Getsynaptril runs it and earns money when you order through our links. Pages are written by the Synaptril label desk from the label, the sales page and public health sources. Write to [email protected] about the pages.
Ask your doctor first. CoQ10 is close in structure to vitamin K and may counteract warfarin (MSKCC, Coenzyme Q10). Your clotting tests may need watching, and you should never change a blood thinner dose on your own.
Two bottles are $178 ($89 each) plus shipping, three are $216 ($72 each) and six are $294 ($49 each), with free shipping on 3 and 6. That is about $2.97, $2.40 or $1.63 a day.
