Brain Supplement Capsules vs Gummies and Drops: Which Form Is Synaptril?
Brain supplement capsules vs gummies comes down to what each form can hold. Capsules carry dry powder with few added ingredients; gummies need sweeteners and gelling agents; drops need a liquid base. Synaptril is sold only as vegetable capsules, 30 to a bottle, one a day. The sales page offers no Synaptril gummies or drops.

The short answer01
Does Synaptril come in gummies or drops?
No. Synaptril comes only in vegetable capsules. The label reads "30 CAPSULES | DIETARY SUPPLEMENT", and the sales page offers no gummies, drops or powder.
We read the sales page on October 18, 2026. It sells 2, 3 and 6-bottle packs of the same 30-capsule bottle (Synaptril sales page). Nothing else is listed.
If you see "Synaptril gummies" or "Synaptril drops" for sale, treat the listing with care. We cannot check what is inside, and it would not match the label we describe on this site. FDA has found hidden drugs in some products sold as supplements (FDA, Tainted supplements).

The forms02
What is the difference between brain supplement capsules, gummies and drops?
Brain supplement capsules hold a dry powder inside a shell. Gummies are chewable pieces made with sweeteners and a gelling agent. Drops are liquids measured with a dropper.
Each form changes what else goes into the product. A capsule needs a shell and a few flow agents. A gummy needs flavor, sweetener and something to set it, such as gelatin or pectin. A liquid needs water, alcohol or oil to carry the ingredients.
The form also limits how much fits. A gummy or a dropperful has a size limit, and so does a capsule. The only way to know the dose is the Supplement Facts panel, which must list amounts per serving or the total of any blend (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36).
| Form | What it is | Extras to look for | Check on the label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capsule | Powder in a gelatin or plant shell | Shell material, flow agents | Amount per capsule; how many per serving |
| Gummy | Chewable piece, sweetened and set | Sugars or sugar alcohols, gelatin or pectin, flavor, color | Sugars per serving; amount of each ingredient |
| Drops | Liquid dosed by dropper | Water, alcohol, glycerin or oil base, flavor | Serving size in mL; whether it contains alcohol |
| Synaptril | Vegetable capsule (hypromellose) | Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, silicon dioxide | 1 capsule a day; 80 mg magnesium; 575 mg blend |
Absorption03
Are capsules absorbed better than gummies?
There is no general rule. How well an ingredient is absorbed depends mostly on the ingredient and its chemical form, not on whether it comes in a capsule or a gummy.
Magnesium is a clear example. NIH notes that small studies found some forms, such as citrate and chloride, absorbed more completely than oxide (NIH ODS, Magnesium). That difference holds whatever the packaging.
Curcumin is another. On its own it is poorly absorbed, and adding piperine raised blood levels sharply in one study (AARM, Piperine and curcumin). A gummy with plain curcumin would not fix that, and a capsule would not either. Synaptril's turmeric extract is standardized to 95% curcuminoids, and its label lists no piperine.
Inside a capsule04
What is inside a Synaptril capsule?
Each Synaptril capsule holds 80 mg of magnesium and a 575 mg proprietary blend, inside a shell of hypromellose, a plant-based material.
The blend lists magnesium glycinate, alpha lipoic acid, butcher's broom root extract, L-carnitine, turmeric extract and CoQ10, from most to least by weight. The other ingredients help the powder flow and fill evenly.
No sugar, sweetener, flavor or color is listed, which a gummy would usually need. The full panel is on the supplement facts page.
- Vegetable capsule: hypromellose
- Magnesium 80 mg (19% DV), from magnesium glycinate
- Proprietary blend 575 mg, six ingredients
- Fillers: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, silicon dioxide
- No stimulant listed

Gummies05
Why do brain supplement gummies often contain sugar?
Gummies need a sweetener to taste like candy and a gelling agent to hold their shape, so most list sugar or a sugar alcohol.
The amount varies by brand. Read the Supplement Facts panel for sugars per serving, and count it if you watch your sugar intake.
Gummies also tend to be eaten like sweets. Keep any supplement, gummy or capsule, out of reach of children, as the Synaptril label asks.

Which supplement form is easiest to swallow?
Gummies and drops are easier for people who struggle with pills. For most adults, one standard capsule a day with water is simple.
Synaptril is one capsule a day, with no time or food rule on the label. Take it with a glass of water.
Do not open or crush a capsule unless a pharmacist says it is fine for that product. If pills are hard for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist about options. See how to take Synaptril.
- 01
Check the seal
On a new bottle, make sure the safety seal is in place. If that seal is damaged or missing, the label says not to use it.
- 02
Take one capsule
Swallow one capsule with a glass of water. The label says one capsule daily, never more.
- 03
Same time each day
The label names no time. A meal suits it: CoQ10 and curcumin are fat-soluble. Keep prescribed medicine on its own schedule.

Strength07
Are liquid drops stronger than capsules?
Not by nature. Strength is the amount per serving printed on the label, and any form can be high or low.
A liquid may be measured in drops or milliliters, so compare milligrams per serving, not dropperfuls against capsules. With a blend, you see only the total.
Synaptril prints 80 mg of magnesium per capsule. Its other five ingredients share a small part of the 575 mg blend: about 8 mg if the glycinate is pure (about 14% magnesium) (Magnesium glycinate, Mg content), and at most 175 mg in a generous case. Switching to drops would not change that math.
Storage08
Which supplement form has the longest shelf life?
There is no single answer. Shelf life depends on the product, so go by the date and the storage line on the bottle.
Synaptril's label says: "Store this product in a cool dry place below 30°C (86°F)." Keep the lid closed and the bottle away from steamy bathrooms and hot cars. Skip any bottle whose safety seal is damaged or missing.
Gummies and liquids often have their own storage notes, such as refrigeration after opening. Follow whatever the label says.
Buying09
Where can you buy genuine Synaptril capsules?
Genuine Synaptril capsules are sold through the official checkout from the sales page. We know of no authorized gummy, drop or store version.
Packs cost $178 for two bottles plus shipping, $216 for three and $294 for six, with a 60-day money-back guarantee (Synaptril sales page). Listings elsewhere cannot be checked.
A new supplement, in any form, should never replace or change a prescription. Ask first if you take warfarin or diabetes medicine: CoQ10 may counteract warfarin (MSKCC, Coenzyme Q10), and alpha lipoic acid may lower blood sugar (Linus Pauling Institute, Lipoic acid).

FAQ10
Supplement form questions
Is a Synaptril gummy version on the way?
We know of no plans for one. The only Synaptril product on the sales page is the 30-capsule bottle, sold in 2, 3 and 6-bottle packs (Synaptril sales page). If a gummy or liquid ever appears, it would need its own label, and we would read it line by line.
Are Synaptril capsules vegetarian?
The capsule shell is hypromellose, a plant-based material, not gelatin. The label lists no animal ingredients we can see, but the brand's vegetarian badge names no certifier. If it matters to you, ask the order desk at +1 (323) 348-1373.
Is it all right to open a Synaptril capsule and stir it into food?
The label does not say, and it gives no directions for opening capsules. Swallow it whole with water, as directed. Ask a pharmacist before opening any capsule, since some products are not meant to be taken that way.
Do gummies work as well as capsules?
It depends on the ingredient and the dose, not the form. A gummy with the same amount of the same ingredient form is not automatically better or worse. Compare the milligrams per serving on both labels.
How many Synaptril capsules are in each pack?
Each bottle holds 30 capsules. The 2-bottle pack has 60, the 3-bottle pack 90 and the 6-bottle pack 180. At one capsule a day, that is two, three or six months.
Why might a brand choose capsules over gummies?
A capsule can hold dry powder with few added ingredients and no sugar. That suits a blend like Synaptril's, where the magnesium glycinate alone takes up most of the 575 mg. A gummy would need sweetener and gelling agents on top.
