What did the jury and court decide?
The jury decided the company lacked support for all eight statements. It found that only one claim materially misled consumers: that Prevagen reduces memory problems associated with aging.
The court rejected New York's requests for penalties and disgorgement. A separate class action, Collins v. Quincy Bioscience, settled with final approval on November 18, 2020.
We found no appeals ruling as of October 18, 2026, but could not prove none exists. Check court records before you rely on this.

Apoaequorin is a protein that the maker says was first discovered in jellyfish. Prevagen lists it at 10, 20 or 40 mg per capsule. Whether swallowed protein reaches the brain intact is a question for researchers, not a claim we make.
